Karen Smith, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist with more than 30 years of experience supporting children, families, educators, and school teams across clinical and educational settings.

Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in curiosity. Rather than focusing only on the behavior or skill that is difficult, Karen looks beneath the surface to understand the barriers affecting participation and identify practical ways to help.

Through her Brain Builder approach, Karen helps children understand how their brains work, strengthen regulation, executive functioning, flexible thinking, and confidence — while partnering with parents, educators, and school teams so the adults around the child feel equipped to support continued growth.
